History Among Friends Book Talk Series: Rosita Stevens-Holsey
The Museum of Durham History and The Friends of the Durham Library, in partnership with the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice, proudly present an author talk featuring Rosita Stevens-Holsey discussing her latest book, Pauli Murray: The Life of a Pioneering Feminist and Civil Rights Activist. The event will take place on March 29, 2024, 7:00 PM at The Friends of Durham Library’s bookstore, Books Among Friends(3825 S. Roxboro St.). This is the first in a collaborative series between the FODL and the MoDH, “History Among Friends,” as part of the Museum’s 10th anniversary programming. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into Pauli Murray’s life and legacy directly from Rosita Stevens-Holsey herself. The event will include an introduction by Pauli Murray Center Executive Director Angela Mason and presentation by the author. A Q&A session will follow, providing a platform for discussion and exploration of Murray’s impact on American society. Copies of Ms. Stevens-Holsey’s book will be available for purchase.
