Dining Series 2022: COPA
SOLD OUT!
The Museum of Durham History is pleased to announce that we are partnering with five popular Durham restaurants to host a special Dining Series! As part of the programming surrounding our latest exhibit, Dining Out In Durham, we will feature monthly dinners where ticket holders will experience one-of-a-kind meals and learn about the history and culture behind different cuisines.
For the second event of the Dining Series, the Museum and company will be hosted by COPA. Those with tickets to this meal will enjoy traditional Cuban plates made with locally-sourced ingredients in a relaxed setting on Tuesday, July 19th, from 6-8pm. Owner Elizabeth Turnbull and historian of Cuba and Deputy Chair for the Western Hemisphere Area Studies at the Foreign Service Institute with the US Department of State Dr. Eric Gettig will speak about the Afro-Cuban influence on Durham’s culinary culture and the story behind how COPA came to Durham. Tickets for this event are $70 each, with an allotment of fewer than 20 tickets, so act fast!
Ticket sales for this event are now closed.
The 2022 Dining Series is sponsored by The Forest at Duke and Moss+Ross.
