The Museum of Durham History is located at 500 W. Main St. between Downtown Durham and Brightleaf Square. We are open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-5 pm, and Sunday 12-5 pm. Admission is FREE.
Free parking is available in parallel spaces along the museum driveway. Also, there is street parking on Main St. and Great Jones St. (Downtown Loop). The nearby Durham Centre Garage is accessed from Morgan St. via the Civic/Arts Center Parking entrance. We are committed to accessibility. Parking for the disabled is next to the building, and the museum is wheelchair accessible.
The Museum of Durham History does not allow weapons of any kind in our building or on our property.
