On August 27th, MoDH Operations Manager Clay Harrison accompanied the Story Kiosk to the Descendants Council event, hosted by the Friends of Geer Cemetery. It was great to see so many people present who are supporters of both organizations. While there, the Story Kiosk collected personal narratives from descendants of Durhamites buried in Geer Cemetery. The audience was captivated with stories of Geer Cemetery from local historians Andre Vann and Nick Levy. A huge thanks to the Friends of Geer Cemetery for inviting us, and we are looking forward to working with them again soon!
