Saluting our “History Heroes”
Posted on June 16, 2016The MoDH is very fortunate to work with a number of partners who generously lend their time, talents, and expertise to create the overall Museum of Durham History experience. We’d like to recognize these “History Heroes”, beginning with Theo Davis Printing, who generously produced the Durham and the Rise of the Baseball Card Scavenger Hunt prize: the beautiful collector’s set of T206 & T209 Cards, cards that were originally manufactured right her in Durham, featuring many North Carolina teams. We’d also like to thank the Latino Community Credit Union for translating the exhibit text to Spanish and longtime MoDH Ambassador Tamar Carroll, for braving the elements and gather people ’round to tell folks about Baseball Cards during the ACC Baseball Championship. Their commitment to the Durham community reflects the cooperative spirit of Durham.
Lastly, this exhibit wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of Baseball America, Capitol Broadcasting Company, Durham Bulls, reCharge Pilates and Barre and the Snyderman Fund.We greatly appreciate Theo Davis’ support of this exhibit. Their commitment to the community reflects the cooperative spirit of Durham. Thank you!
