Galia Goodman, #HistoryHero

As we mentioned in our June Newsletter, we’re going to take a minute every so often to recognize those who do a little extra for the historic cultural community and are going a little bit further to improve the Durham landscape (literally and figuratively!) We call them “History Heroes.”

Today we’d like to say thank you to Galia Goodman, who personally dropped off contributions for the History Grove honoring the founder and director of the Duke University String School, Dorothy Kitchen. This Grove is currently planned for construction in Oval Park, and Ms. Goodman has been an energetic leader for the Watts Hospital-Hillandale Neighborhood in bringing people together to make this Gove happen. We salute her for being a MoDH #HistoryHero!
