G is for Geography and Growth
Posted on June 25, 2015From 1860 to 1940, Durham expanded from whistle-stop hamlet to bustling city of 60,000+. Learn what went into that growth in the Hub’s newest Durham A-Z exhibit, G is for Geography and Growth.
Ridges, railroads, business, wealth and culture … these are some of the factors that formed the neighborhoods and traffic patterns that remain today. Maps and interactive displays will guide Hub visitors through 80 years of Durham’s dynamic development.
The exhibit opens with a public launch party on August 4th, from 5:30pm to 7pm.
