The Museum of Durham History recently had the pleasure of facilitating a donation of Durham-Orange County Medical Society Auxiliary Scrapbooks to Duke University Medical Center Archives. The Auxiliary was made up doctors’ wives and set out to support the men’s Medical Society as well as to provide social opportunities among families. The scrapbooks highlight many of the Auxiliary’s activities from 1961-1987 including fundraisers, lectures, and luncheons.
