Foster Street

Foster Street was laid out after 1884, appearing first in Branson's 1887 Directory of Durham. Originally running north from Chapel Hill Street, it was connected to Corcoran Street by Corcoran's realignment in the 2005-07 downtown "streetscape" renovation.

A possible namesake is W.E. Foster, a city alderman in 1890.
