Southwest Elementary School

Southwest Elementary School was opened in 1989 and renovated in 1991, serving what was then and has continued to be the fastest-growing section of Durham County. The 22-acre campus, though, lies near the site of a "Patrick Henry School" that served then-rural Durham County youngsters in the 1910s. Southwest's building encloses more than 91,000 square feet, for an official student capacity of 575
