Rogers-Herr Middle School
Named for long-time Durham schoolteachers Maude Rogers and Margurite Herr, Rogers-Herr Junior High School opened in 1967. Later, the school became a sixth-grade center and, as part of the merged Durham Public Schools system, became a year-round middle school in 2000.
After a major renovation in 2005, the school has a 122,547-square foot physical plant on a 23.5-acre campus, with an official student capacity of 644.
