Mangum Elementary School
Taking its name from one of Durham County's longest-established families (see Willie Preston Mangum) , Mangum Elementary School has served children from northern Durham County at its current location since 1925. The school, remodeled and enlarged in 1939, 1962, 1983 and 2009, occupies 60,000 square feet on a 22-acre site, and is designed for 405 students.
