Durham Performing Arts Center
The 2,800-seat Durham Performing Arts Center, or "D-PAC," is the largest performing arts center between Richmond and Atlanta and enjoys some of the highest ticket sales among similar facilities in the United States.
It opened in 2008, constructed on a block formerly occupied by a city-bus lot and a long-unused freight depot. The former Vivian Street was incorporated into the lot for access to the theater entrance and a parking lot.
